Avril Lavigne Talks Tattoo, Husband and Good Eats

Just Jared (plus entourage) went to see Avril Lavigne in concert earlier this month at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. And it was crazy fun from start to finish! The 23-year-old Canadian singer rocked out on her pink drum set, endeared with her piano-playing and jammed on her bejeweled electric guitar. Avril’s voice also carried beautifully across the coliseum. It sounds fantastic live. If you watch her in concert yourself, you’d be impressed. Just be prepared for excessive amounts of marching and fist-pumping! Ra-ra-ra!The whole night was crazy from start to finish, so I didn’t have time to chat with Avril then. But on Friday, Avril phoned up with Just Jared for a little heart-to-heart. Thanks to all my awesome readers who sent in their hundreds of questions. I asked her a few of them! Avril opened up about her new tattoo, what she eats on the road and what she loves to do on her downtime with Sum 41 husband Deryck Whibley. Here’s how the interview went down (she was calling from Atlanta, GA):
JJ: Do you have a concert tonight?
AL: Yes, I do! But I just had two days off, which never happens. So my friend Allie and I went to NYC for two days and we just drove in and got here just a couple of hours ago. I’m trying to get ready for the show–we’re all like running around.
JJ: How did you spend those two days in NYC?
AL: I got a tattoo! I got a star on my [right] forearm, and Allie, my friend got like a little tattoo too. (Pictured here: Avril’s new star tattoo) JJ: What else did you do in the Big Apple?
AL: We just got our nails done and went shopping and then just partied and went to Koi. Because I’ve been on the road, I haven’t had sushi in for so long.
JJ: What number tattoo is this for you?
AL: Seven?
JJ: Are you gonna cover your body with tattoos or are you just getting little ones?
AL: All of my tattoos are super dainty and in little spots. I haven’t done the big tattoo yet.

Pop singer Avril Lavigne would soon be launching her own perfume and range of toiletries.

According to a celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, the singer recently filed an application with the U.S. patent and trademark office for her products.

The list contains a variety of items including "perfumery; after-shave; bath oil; bath soap; shower gel; body shampoo" and "body lotion", reports Contactmusic.

With the launch of her perfume the 'Sk8er Boi' hitmaker would be joining list of pop stars Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Hilary Duff.

Meanwhile, Lavigne was recently spotted taking a break from her hectic life at a beach in Miami with husband Deryck Whibley.

AVRIL LAVIGNE has shot down rumours she is expecting her first child with husband DERYCK WHIBLEY. Gossip sites claimed the 23-year-old Canadian singer was a month-and-a-half pregnant with the Sum 41 rocker. But her representative has told PageSix.com, "It's not true."

Canadian pop star AVRIL LAVIGNE has reached a settlement in a lawsuit accusing her of plagiarising her hit track GIRLFRIEND. The 23-year-old was sued by 1970s rock band the Rubinoos, who claimed her 2007 single sounded similar to their song I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend which was released in 1979. But the band's lawyer, Nicholas Carlin, has now announced a settlement has been reached, although the exact financial details have not been released. After being hit with the lawsuit, Lavigne insisted she had never heard the Rubinoos' track, but her manager Terry MCBride insisted he would rather settle the matter out of court as a way of avoiding a costly legal battle.

Singer AVRIL LAVIGNE rang in 2008 with tears in her eyes - after rapper LIL' JON hijacked her New Year's Eve (31Dec07) bash. The Sk8er Boi hitmaker was scheduled to perform the countdown to midnight at New York's Prive club on Monday, but was reportedly left "visibly upset" after the hip-hop star "grab his own mike and steal (sic) the show", according to New York gossip column PageSix. The source tells the publication Lavigne, 23, wailed to husband Deryck Whibley, "I wanted to do the countdown!" A spokesman for the star was unavailable for comment.

After spending a quiet Christmas relaxing with rocker husband Deryck Whibley, Avril Lavigne was all geared up to party the New Year in with her man in Las Vegas.The Girlfriend singer was host of a happening bash at Prive, which is located inside the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.The 23-year-old, who had a blast popping the champagne cork during a toast, helped her fellow party goers count down to midnight while Lil’ Jon provided some of his crunktastic beats.
